Special Orders

Our policy for special orders.

We will order any currently available item not in stock at Broughdale Hobby.
The primary Train reference is the current Walthers HO catalogue. ($16.50) Also the N&Z or Large Scale catalogues
Other popular manufacturers products are also available. Try us.
Orders are kept as back orders until delivered, unless specifically advised at time of ordering.
Prices charged are those prevailing at time of receipt from supplier.
Deposits are required on all orders. 50% of the order value. ($5.00 minimum)
A credit card number is valid as a deposit. (Only charged if item is not collected or deliverable.)
50% Deposit will be charged against credit card orders over $200
Orders paid by cheque are held for clearance by the bank.
Unavailable product. Deposit refunded.

Cancellations

Uncollected special order items are sold and deposit forfeited thirty days after notification by phone, or other messaging means.
Credit is not given for unused forfeit deposits.
Items in transit at time of cancellation must be collected or deposit forfeited.

Advertised Items

Items are advertised on the basis that they will become available by the manufacturers published delivery date.
Where known manufacturers release dates are given. Manufacturers announce products and find it impossible to meet the delivery schedule.
At our discretion, items offered in Walthers sale programs may available at up to 20% off our 'shelf stock' price.

Advance Reservations

Advance reservations will be taken for future release items.
New items nearly always become available in the year for which they are announced.
If you wish us to send the product as soon as received please provide contact/payment details.
Otherwise we can contact you if there is sufficient remaining stock.

We require product Manufacturer name, part number with description, and quantity for all items ordered.
It is understood that the customer knows what he is ordering.
Orders and enquiries must be accompanied by full name, address, contact numbers, payment details etc..
Items offered in response to enquiries require payment/order confirmation within 7 days.
We will add GST and Ontario PST to items sent to Canadian addresses where applicable.

Payments

In Canadian Dollars only.
Mail order payments are accepted by Visa, or Mastercard. Please complete the agreement form.
Contact us by phone, fax or mail for most secure credit card number transfer. (We require card number, expiry, your name on card, your phone number and address).
From April 2008, credit card companies now charge an extra 1% for mail order processing. (They call it insurance!)
Exchange rates are automatically adjusted by your credit card issuer at the time of the transaction.
New customer credit cards will be verified. Product shipped to verifiable addresses only.
Cheques and Money Order's should be made to 'BROUGHDALE HOBBY'
Do not send cash or money orders or cheques drawn on non Canadian Banks.
No COD's.

Shipping

By Canada Post. Regular or Expedited service.
Canada, at cost (parcel postage minimum $10). Canada Post Fuel Surcharges will be added. 9%
United States. By registered mail only, (minimum $18) on orders up to 1kg. At cost over 1kg.
International. At cost. Small packet rate, average $25 per Kg. Insured rates at Parcel post rates. $45 minimum.
Minimum quantities may apply. - Flex track =10 pieces, additional shipping charges will be charged.
We have a policy of honest customs declarations as we understand (by experience) that customs administrations are sophisticated enough to know the difference.

Returns

It is understood that the customer knows what he is ordering. It is not our intention to provide goods on approval. All items are inspected before dispatch. Therefore:-
Must arrive within 21 days of mailing.
All returns will be charged a restocking charge of 10%.
Items returned within Canada when shipped at our cost will be charged for initial postage
A credit may be given toward future purchases. (Less postage, no restocking charge).
Return postage paid by shipper.

Privacy

Any information you submit to Broughdale Hobby such as name, address, phone number or email address is considered private and will only be used by Broughdale Hobby for purposes of customer service. It is never sold or given to a third party.
